At Little’s Family Funeral Service, we are deeply committed to supporting our local community. That’s why we’re proud to announce our community partnership with Giffnock Soccer Centre, specifically their ‘Auld Timers’ Walking Football section.

Robert Tripney, Funeral Service Manager, shares his excitement: “I’m thrilled about this partnership, both as a football fan and as a manager of a business that prioritises community engagement.”

Coach Martin Jack, (aka Jacky), leads the Walking Football team, bringing together individuals in their 40s, 50s, and 60s. As Jacky explains, “It’s about keeping people healthy, fit, and socially active. You don’t need to be a former footballer; it’s more about enjoying the social aspect, getting fresh air, and it’s a decent workout. Plus, it can be competitive too!”

Giffnock Soccer Centre has been a part of the community for 26 years, consistently growing in both size and impact. Notably, as Scotland’s largest club of its kind, with over 1,000 players and 200 volunteer coaches, Giffnock Soccer Centre recently moved from Norwood to Auldhouse. Consequently, it is now located just around the corner from our Muirend branch. This move not only reflects the club’s expansion but also underscores its ongoing commitment to fostering community spirit through sport.

At Little’s Family Funeral Service, we actively support activities that bring people together and strengthen our community. That’s why our community partnership with Giffnock Soccer Centre is so important to us. If we can assist in any way, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
