Owner and Director of the company, George Wills is a well known and respected figure in the local community. He has over thirty years experience in dealing with families during the loss of a loved one and he can offer advice on all matters relating to funerals, be they small family services or large tributes to distinguished individuals. While George is still very much involved in the business, he now entrusts the day to day management and operations to his daughter Heather and Funeral Service Manager, Scott Munn.
Heather, the daughter of George Wills, oversees the management of both Little’s Funeral Service and Little’s Chauffeur Drive. Having worked in the family business since the early 90s, she shares her father’s dedication to ensuring that each and every family that entrust Little’s with their funeral arrangements, is provided with a very personal and caring service from the moment they get in touch.
Funeral Service Manager
Scott joined Little’s in 2016 as a Funeral Director before being promoted to Funeral Service Manager in 2020. He started his career working in his own family’s funeral business in Burnside in 2005 and was the 9th generation of his family to be involved in the 200 year old business. His family business was sold to a large national group when his father retired and while Scott remained as operations manager for a while, he eventually decided he would prefer to go back to working for a smaller, family business which would allow him to provide a higher level of care to bereaved families.
Scott holds a diploma in funeral directing with the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD), is a licenced member of the British institute Of Funeral Directors and is currently training for a diploma with the British Institute of Embalming. Additionally he is part of a group which steers the Scottish Government, providing expertise in pandemic planning and additional death support.
Craig started his career with Little’s in March 2005, initially working at Little’s Chauffeur Drive for six months before moving to Little’s Funeral Service to take up the position of Funeral Director. In 2010, Craig completed his diploma and became a fully qualified and licensed Funeral Director and is now the principal contact at our Cardonald branch at 2174 Paisley Road West.
Craig’s main role is serving the needs of families who have lost a loved one, from being the first point of contact following death to arranging the funeral and finally conducting the funeral on the day. Craig prides himself on being there to help people at their lowest point, whether that be providing guidance on funeral arrangements or, as someone from outside the family, just lending a listening ear to those experiencing the loneliness of grief.
Trainee Funeral Director
Having previously worked in the hospitality industry, Robert joined Little’s Funeral Service in 2018 as a trainee Funeral Director. Robert primarily works with Craig Johnstone at our Cardonald Branch and is completing his training with Little’s Funeral Service with a view to sitting his diploma in funeral directing in 2021.
Funeral Services Operative
Stephen started his career with Little’s in 2007 when he joined the company as a chauffeur. He later became Head Chauffeur, before being offered a new career path by joining our funeral service business in 2021. Stephen works alongside our funeral directors by supporting the operational side of the business including caring for the deceased, carrying out funeral duties and driving the hearse or family members on the day of the service.
