We are living during concerning times. We have put in place contingency plans to ensure we can continue to offer a caring and personal service during your time of need, whilst working with the government to ensure both you and our team are protected. Information is changing daily but please be assured we are monitoring those changes and adapting our services continuously.
Arranging a Funeral
If you are self-isolating or affected by COVID-19, in the first instance please call us on 0141 883 2114. Funeral arrangements can be made via telephone or video call. We are available 24 hours a day to offer guidance on how to arrange a funeral. Documents can be completed electronically and sent via email.
We are following the advice of the government and funeral sector authorities to ensure funerals can be arranged whilst protecting you and our colleagues from the spread of corona virus. All our teams have been given extensive training and provided with necessary equipment to ensure we can provide our funeral services to you in the safest way. All of our funeral homes are regularly cleaned and disinfected, masks must be worn at all times and hand sanitizer can be found throughout out premises.
Who Can Attend a Funeral
Current guidance is that up to 20 people can attend a service at crematoria across the UK. Each crematorium and burial authority have their own guidance and rules for funeral services. During arrangements we can provide you with the most up to date guidance from your preferred service location. Government advice on social distancing should be followed during funeral services. Anyone showing symptoms of COVID-19 should not attend.
What if I Cannot Attend?
Many crematoria offer webcasting, so funeral services can be viewed online if you cannot attend in person. Information on this will be provided by your funeral director during arrangements.
Religious Ceremonies & Burials
At the moment, religious services can go ahead in places of worship with social distancing measures and guidance in place, your funeral director can provide further information on this at the time of arrangement.
If you have an existing funeral plan with Little’s Funeral Service, having Coronavirus does not affect your plan. We are still also able to arrange new funeral plans at this time.
Paying for a Funeral
This is a difficult time for everyone, especially for those with financial worries. We have a range of different services to suit most budgets and can provide guidance on eligibility for financial support from the government.
