Gareth Page, Funeral Service Operative

Gareth Page joined us as a Funeral Service Operative in July 2022. Originally hailing from South Africa, Gareth worked in the motor trade for years and decided to make the switch to working in the funeral industry as he wanted to do something that made a difference to people in their time of need. What do you like about working for an independent family-run funeral service?

I love helping families and being a part of something very special. I like working for a family business as you aren’t just a number; you have meaning and value and I feel like you are more appreciated for the work you do.

What do you enjoy about your role?

I enjoy helping families through a very difficult time and making the process as easy as possible for those who are grieving.

What is something you’re proud of?

My daughter, my family, and my job.

Who do you look up to (can be work-related or just in general) and why?

In work I look up to my fellow colleagues as well as my fantastic manager who has so much knowledge to offer. In my personal life it will be my Mom who always has the right words to say and has always stood by me.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Fishing, sightseeing, and the good old family time.
