Robert Tripney, Funeral Service Manager at Little’s, is proud to announce the launch of our Charity of the Year initiative.

In its debut year, he has chosen to support Home-Start Glasgow South. Established in 2000, Home-Start Glasgow South works with families to help give young children the best possible start in life. They work with families to overcome challenges affecting their lives with a range of family support services. In the last year they have worked with over 300 families and approximately 700 children facing issues like isolation, mental health difficulties, bereavement, family breakdown, addictions, physical ill health and much more. They work with families to overcome challenges through home visiting volunteers, 1-1 support, group work and intensive family support.

Little’s Managing Director, Heather Matthews, said “Being an independent family business, community outreach and care is at the core of what we do at Little’s Funeral Service.  I know how important it is to be involved with the local community, showing our continued support and dedication to anyone who needs us.  I am proud of our Charity of the Year initiative and partnership with Home-Start Glasgow South, whose work in the local community is vital and necessary. Together I hope we can make a difference to the lives of local families”

Caitlin, Community Fundraiser at Home-Start Glasgow South added, “We are delighted to be Little’s Funeral Services Charity of The Year, our shared core values in offering families support and advice at a time when they need it most is what makes our partnership special. With this support we will be able to reach more families, train more volunteers and be there for families because childhood can’t wait.”

Little’s Funeral Service will be fundraising and collecting for the charity throughout the year via various different initiatives, and the team look forward to the support of the local community and businesses in these efforts.
